Fiasco... again.

Electricity bills go up 21% tomorrow.

Means the monthly bill's gonna hit $250 or summat.

According to "statistics", though, the average monthly bill of 5rooms are $106.80.

Hello?

HELLO? All my neighbours are raking up bills of $2xx per month, and most of them, like me, don't turn on their air-cons. Either it's a coverup, or the statistics are SERIOUSLY screwed.

Temper's running quite short lately, I've been feeling badgered.

Perhaps it's time to let things go.

Srsly NO LIFE?

God?

Yeah, whatever god's up there sure loves me.

I flipped to the back of the fucking Geog paper. Empty, yay! So I slack around, do math WS. Collection finish le then I know got another qn. "But I thought back page nothing!" Then people look at me as if I'm in denial. Maybe I am, but I'm VERY VERY VERY sure that I saw nothing there.

Then I took off the brass buttons and collar pin on the bus, and tucked them in my left pocket. When I got off the bus, I still felt the collar pin poking me. 10 steps later, they were gone. Nowhere to be seen.

I MEAN, WTF'S WITH STUFF DISAPPEARING AROUND ME?! Any more, and I'll start thinking I'm psychic. Puh-lease.

Chapter 2

The entire hall was in a mayhem, students running around all over the place, knocking over the large wooden chairs lining each of the four long tables. The first-years, in particular, were the noisiest, and the older students looked upon them in distaste as they chatted about the newest developments between whoever concerned them. Louise was the only one not participating in this social session - she was preoccupied on considering what was going to happen later on, and who the Fire Wizard from yesterday was.

Just as she thought that, the hall quietened down; a cold aura had suddenly entered the room. Turning, Louise gasped. It was him again! She tried to consider whether to approach him, but his silence discouraged her. He seemed to have an invisible barrier, because every time he took a step, the crowd parted and reformed when he took another step. Even the first-years were glancing around, confused at why everyone stopped doing whatever they were doing. Even after the wizard had taken his seat, silence still prevailed. The whole hall was unmoving except for the leaves visible through the open door, waving in the cool morning wind.

---

"Next!" The instructor called out. From the darkness of the tower shadow, a figure stepped up. AGAIN?. The Fire Wizard merely raised his staff and whispered, "Servant of Hell, come to me." The ground rumbled for the next minute, before a large crack appeared between him and the others; he was now standing on majority of the large field, looking intently at the instructor, separated from him by that fissure which was now emitting great amounts of smoke. From within, a large hell-hound leapt out, resembling but not exactly the legendary Cerebus that guarded the entrances of Hell. The instructor raised an eyebrow but said nothing except "next". Whispering erupted as Louise stepped up; the instructions came again. "Remember, say clearly what qualities you wish your servant to have."

"I summon the one whose power is unrivaled!" For the next five seconds, everyone stood in stunned silence, and then another bout of whispering. The instructor tried to conceal his disappointment as he commented, "You should try aga-" Before he completed his utterance, a pentagon appeared in midair; everyone knelt down from the sheer pressure of the mana coming from within... almost everyone. The Fire Wizard remained passive, although he did seem surprised at the sudden surge of magic power.

What happened next shocked everyone...

***

At that moment...

"Whew, that was close!" Saito panted, and looked up. The tree had been stopped by the others around it; the branches barely brushed the top of the tent. He didn't care much for the gigantic plant, but rather the thing that had displaced it. A blue pentagonal star... what could almost be called a stigma. It resembled a portal, except that it wasn't a blue circle... He reached for it, and gasped - it was burning hot, almost as if an inferno was raging within. All that time, Alexis had been silent, and she now raised the sword sheathed at her back. Saito gasped - it was the first time he'd seen such a perfectly crafted sword; everything from the hilt to the blade-tip looked like it was casted silver, and the edges were sharp; even looking at it caused pain in the eyes. What was even more surprising was that a girl was able to wield it as a weapon - from what it looked like, it was at least four kilograms in weight.

Alexis swung the sword lightly and it crashed straight into the edges of the star; a loud ringing sound proceeded to fill Saito's ears, and he knelt to the ground. That ring... it was as if all the energy had been sucked out of him and displaced into the air; the leaves rustled loudly. Wind started filling the trees as Alexis started to swing her sword again; before Saito could see the action completed, a glow had surrounded him.

---

Alexis gasped. She was about to hit the portal again, but it had suddenly emitted a ray of blue light and enveloped Saito; before she could do anything about it, they vanished - it was as if the portal had never been there. The same went for Saito.

***

AN: Yeah, rip'd from Zero again.

"She summoned a HUMAN?!" That seemed to be the general topic of the commotion that had happened shortly after the sigil had disappeared and a Warrior tossed onto the ground before her. Even the instructor seemed surprised; beside the Warrior lay a sword that seemed to radiate nothing but power. Before anyone could say anything, storm clouds began to gather.

If anyone bothered to read Ch 1 at all, they'd know about the storm clouds.

***

The Dark Lord valiantly tried to fight against the armored dragons that were now beseiging him; outnumbered a thousand to one, even his ungodly speed couldn't prevent him from getting cuts; all through this time, the central Cornian hadn't tried to attack him at all - it were as if it... or he... wanted to watch the fun. Gritting his teeth, the head of thieves swore. "I'm not letting you get your way." As he leapt towards the giant creature, a roar erupted from the cave beyond; the Cornian seemed to leer, and started speaking. "It is... too late. He has awoken." From the bowels of the Cave of Life came the sound of a crystal cracking.

Flame me, I don't care.

WTF on a Sunday morning.

So it's my brother's birthday this Wednesday.

I have to search for a buffet restaurant for my parents. Okay, so I do.

And when I told them to ignore Yahoo's fucking Search Suggestions, they scolded me.

Asked me to search myself if I were so great, as if they were the ones doing the work.

Nobody seems to fucking appreciate what I'm halfway decent at.

Fine, by all means. I'm okay with it.

On a side note, Pontus was the son of Gaia, and Ferrum means "iron" in Latin (where the chemical symbol Fe comes from); thus, Pontus Ferrum means "Iron Land".

Blah

blah blah blah.

Next is rip'd.

你说着,我听着,
像海浪打着,沙滩烧着,
你的忧伤大于快乐,
连彩虹都只剩下一种颜色;

我听着,你说着,
像刀子划的,隐隐痛着,
就因为爱没有规则,
所以心痛了死了回不去了;

但是我存在着,我一直存在着,
和你一起的照片仍在我的手机上贴着,
爱会永远永远,你说的,
离开我的时候,却没舍不得;

我真的存在着,我一直存在着,
不管是疯的气的我受着紧紧手握着,
傻傻陪着守着证明你值得,
但我会笑着因为一切都值得。

Lol?!

Anw, lemme elaborate on the melamine milk crisis.

Melamine, chemical formula C3H6N6. Melamine, pure, has a median lethal dose of >3000 mg/kg on rats - this means that for rats, it takes over 3000 milligrams per kg to kill 50% of the rat population tested.

Why did China put melamine into their dairy products?!

Vicious cycle started with them putting water into the milk, to increase the weight of the milk powder. However, the story doesn't end there. Every product must have its own dietary restrictions, and for China, they test for protein levels. To bypass that, they added melamine - because it is made of the same atoms as amino acids is, it is undetectable without special tests, and it will appear to pass the test, because of the nitrogen levels. It is estimated that of all the products, 20% are tainted. This includes the raw materials and powder exported worldwide to make dairy products. 4 babies have died from this tainting in China alone; 53,000 are ill, with more than 12,000 hospitalized; of these, some have been infected with acute renal failure.

What has the world been doing about it?

Besides trashing China, the WHO has activated forces worldwide to check the dairy products, including Singapore. Some products in Singapore have been suspected of being tainted, but not confirmed yet. For your stomach and life, don't consume any products with dairy origins:

~Chocolates.
~Milk.
~Stuff with milk -> Milo.
~Cheese.
~Yoghurt
~Butter
~Pudding
~Ice Cream.

To be doubly safe, check to see if there are any dairy origins. Milk, curd... Soya bean is fine; anything for lactose-intolerant people is fine. Unsure, wiki it. Better safe than sorry.

Chapter 1 - Read and Review, pls.

Chapter 1

Bowing, the students kept their heads low till the aged wizard had walked out the room; the moment he was out of earshot, an uproar erupted in class; at the center of it all was an unwilling girl. Sitting down, she pouted at the textbook in front of her, wondering why the instructions on it didn't work. Disappointed and slightly angered, she packed up and walked out of class, oblivious to the whispering - she was already used to it. As she ran down the corridors, only one thought was storming through her mind, almost suffocating her in agony and worry.

"I must practice."

After all, tomorrow was a day she couldn't afford to screw up.

***

Kneeling on the ground, Saito bit on his lower lip as the whip lashed at him. Above, the cruel afternoon sun burned his back; already, he could feel sunburns developing, and the situation wasn't helped by the blood draining away through the open wounds slashed by the steel. Clenching his fists tightly, he couldn't help but gasp slightly when another lash cut in the exact spot as the wound. Fresh blood flowed coolly down his back, and collected in a pool. The ruby-colored fluid stained his boots and pant legs, promising him a load of work later on, if he even survived this. Biting his lips, he prepared for the last hit; it dug deeply into his fresh, and a solitary tear leaked from his eye, flowing down his left cheek. Five minutes after his tormentor left, the mana binds wore off, and he collapsed, his face splashing into the blood pool. Staggering to his feet, he stumbled towards the town ahead of him, trying his best to stay straight. His sight blurred, the tall outcrop fading before him. Behind, storm clouds gathered over the barren lands, casting Perion in a dark shadow.

***

"Crap!" Louise shouted, attempting to wave her wand the right way. Shutting her eyes, she attempted to visualize the mana traces in the air, and raised her wand; instead of absorbing mana, she expelled a gigantic amount of energy from her wand, blowing a small hole in a small tree; from its innards spouted thousands of ants, and she screamed. From behind her came a chanting voice. "Flames, heed my command. Flamethrower." Turning, she saw a fire mage put his hands in a charging stance, palm heels matching, both palms facing out; a flaming ball of energy appeared, floating in the air. After a couple of seconds, he opened his eyes and stepped lightly forwards; the ball flew towards the stump and set it on fire, exterminating all the ants instantly. Shocked, Louise stepped forwards and asked, "Who are you?!" The Fire Wizard just replied, "You'll know in due time." He looked young; Louise guessed no more than sixteen. She watched silently as he teleported away.

...

Fifteen minutes later, Louise was sitting in her house, staring blankly out. The image of the Wizard was still imprinted in her sight; he was black haired, and his irises were a light shade of hazel. Handsome, he was almost the dream guy that everyone thought about; the only problem was that he seemed cold instead of the warmness that everyone envisaged. Turning, she cried out internally. Tomorrow was the ritual, and she was nowhere closer to being able to perform the spell... she was incapable of performing any spell, anyway. Tears began to form in her eyes. If she didn't summon anything tomorrow...

***

Saito blinked. Everything around him was dark, and yet not complete darkness, for he could make out some shapes around the teepee. Suddenly, a lamp flared up some distance away from him; startled, he sat upright, and winced. His back felt raw, and he tried to look; he could only make out some white strips, what he assumed were bandages. Looking around, he tried to determine where he was. It was a small, cosy tent; he'd been lying on a straw mat at the far end; to his left was the tent exit. Right in the center was a small table with the lamp that had been lighted - it was burning off kerosene, emitting a light smell of... flowers? He'd only smelt it once before, when he'd been near the endless jungle of Ellinia.

Where the hell am I?

Feeling the tent wall next to him, he gasped slightly. This was made from top quality leather, harnessed from hogs out in the wild. It had a faint shade of grey to it, but it was mostly brown. "One skillful hunter, huh..." he mused. From outside the tent, a voice replied, "Yeah." The figure stepped in and looked straight at him... it was...

A girl?!

...

Saito coughed. "Um, the tea's kinda bitter, but it's antiseptic," the girl offered. He nodded and continued pouring it down his throat. He was still seated on the mat, but now facing the table, and drinking from a stone mug. The liquid inside resembled something pounded from leaves, but he couldn't be sure - he hadn't pound any before. Looking at the girl seated opposite him, he mused slightly. Kinda cute, huh? He gave her a once-over. Black, average eyes, brown hair tied into a ponytail... about half a head shorter. Slim, she looked fit enough to take on ten Iron Hogs at once, something not even a Dragon Knight could manage without getting hurt. Surprisingly, she wasn't muscular. If the both of us were to walk down the street, we'd be mistaken as twins... Before he could even continue that thought, he started. It was... rustling, wasn't it?

Dismissing it, he addressed his... savior. "Your name is...?" Her expression turned awkward for a second, before replying, "Alexis." Saito nodded, and asked another question. "Where are we?" Alexis smiled slightly, before opening the tent flap. All around them, trees grew, taller than ten times his height. "Ellinia?!" She nodded and queried, "Problem with that?" He shook his head slightly, and didn't reply - his head was throbbing too much. She carried me all the way from the Rocky Roads here? As if in reply to the unanswered question, she said, "You were kinda light for your age... assuming your age is sixteen, of course." He nodded vigorously, and was surprised - he didn't hurt anymore. So the tea does have effect...

From outside came a large crash, and he looked out. A shadow ominously fell towards the tent - the shadow of a tree.

***

The Dark Lord stood against the wall. Even though the cave wall was made of black ice, it could still reflect well; he couldn't afford to be seen. All around him came roars and grunts - Keroben was preparing his army already. One of the Cornians stepped into view, and headed towards him. "Oh shoot..." Turning slightly, he drew a star; just as the creature was going to roar, he tossed it and its throat was slit cleanly across. The moment that happened, though, the alarm rang.

From all around, Cornians appeared - they numbered thousand. What scared him wasn't that, though.

It was the gigantic Cornian in the center, carrying a ten-meter-long spear.

Top 10 (1) - Top 10 Ways to Destroy Earth.

#10 - Total Existence Failure.

Equipment required:
Nothing.

Method: Nothing. Just wait and see if all the atoms of the Earth spontaneously cease to exist.

Feasibility: 0/10.

#9 - Eaten by strangelets.

Equipment required:
Ion collider.

Method: Generate and maintain a stable strangelet, and wait till it starts transforming stuff around it into strange quarks.

Feasibility: 1/10.

Background knowledge:

Strangelets are bound particles (so-called solid) comprising of up-quarks, down-quarks and strange-quarks, the 3 lightest quarks amongst the 6. Quarks are one of the 2 most basic building blocks, the other being leptons - electrons are considered a type of lepton. Quarks basically exist through the 4 fundamental interactions. In order of weakest to strongest, they are Gravity, Weak (lol?!), Electromagnetic and Strong. When a piece of strangelet hits matter, it may convert matter into strange matter. (like our so-called liquid)

This method is also known as the "ice-nine" disaster. If a strangelet were to hit a nucleus and immediately catalyze it, it would transform the latter into strange matter, releasing energy. It would then create a larger, stabler strangelet. This chain reaction would cause the matter around it to rapidly deteriorate, thus transforming the Earth into a large ball of strange matter.

#8 - Eaten by microscopic black hole.

Equipment required:
A microscopic black hole. Black holes disintegrate quickly due to Hawking radiation; evaporation time is based on mass, therefore, the black hole would have to have a mass of around Mount Everest.

Method: Place your black hole on the surface of the Earth and wait. Black holes are of such high density that they pass through ordinary matter like a stone through the air. The black hole will plummet through the ground, eating its way to the center of the Earth and all the way through to the other side: then, it'll oscillate back, over and over like a matter-absorbing pendulum. Eventually it will come to rest at the core, having absorbed enough matter to slow it down. Then you just need to wait, while it sits and consumes matter until the whole Earth is gone.

Feasibility: 2/10

Background knowledge: Hawking radiation is a form of thermal radiation that is emitted from black holes due to quantum effects. Black holes will all ultimately evaporate when the net loss is more than net gain, causing it to shrink and vanish. To create a microscopic black hole and maintain it isn't easy, but it is possible if the LHC were to malfunction and create a stable micro-black hole.

#7 - Antimatter annihilation.

Equipment required:
2500 trillion tons of antimatter.

Method: Detonate 2500 trillion tons of antimatter at once by hurling it at Earth.

Feasibility: 5/10.

Background knowledge:

Antimatter is the most volatile substance in the universe - because it is the exact opposite of matter, both would annihilate each other, transforming everything, even the antimatter, into photons. The gravitational binding energy of a planet is

"E=(3/5)GM^2/R", where E = energy, M = mass and R = radius.

Around 224,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 J. That's um...

Who cares. The premise is that if you hurl this much of energy at Earth, it will dissipate. Oh wait. Not THAT much. E=mc^2. So you need about 2,492,336,125,560,100 tonnes of antimatter.

BTW, in case you were wondering why speed of light = c, it stands for celeritas, meaning "swiftness" in Latin.

#6 - Vacuum energy detonation.

Equipment required:
A light bulb (?!)

Method: Contemporary theories tell us that vacuum is only on AVERAGE, that is, particles and anti-particles are constantly appearing and annihilating each other. Another (proven) theory tells us that a light bulb is a vacuum. Therefore, if we were to harness light bulb's particles and toss them into the sea, the whole sea would boil and destroy itself, creating a semi-Big Bang that would wipe the Sun out as well.

Wow.

Feasibility: 5/10.

Background knowledge: None needed, except that the light bulb is a vacuum.

#5 - Sucked into a GIANT black hole.

Equipment required:
A black hole, rocket engines, and a large planetary body.

Method: Pull both together.

Feasibility: 6/10.

Background knowledge: The closest black hole is 1600 light years from here. Requires no background knowledge, except that black holes tend to absorb matter. If it were fixated enough on the planetary body, you could (theoretically) drag the black hole along with you. Same goes for the Earth - just attach their gravities together.

#4 - Systematically deconstructed.

Equipment required:
Piledriver, and 2*10^32 J of energy.

Method: Dig up the ground using a piledriver, and "booster" it into space/the Sun using the 2*10^32 J of energy.

Feasibility: 6/10.

Background knowledge: At a rate of 1 billion tonnes of mass sent out per second, it would take 189 million years.

#3 - Pulverization.

Equipment required:
A large rock. VERY large rock. Something like... a planet.

Method: Shoot Venus at the Earth, at 50km/s.

Feasibility: 7/10.

Background knowledge: In order to smash the Earth's gravity well apart, you'd need a projectile about 80% of the Earth's speed, traveling at 11km/s discounting energy loss from heat.

#2 - Eaten up by a von Neumann machine.

Equipment required:
A single von Neumann machine.

Method: Unleash it underground.

Feasibility: 8/10.

Background knowledge: A von Neumann machine is one that can clone itself by using only its base materials. Thus, create one that survives on iron, magnesium, aluminum and silicon; these four exist abundantly in the crust and mantle. Thus, it will start eating up the mass of the earth at an exponential speed, leaving a ball of metal flying towards the sun.

#1 - Hurled into the sun.

Equipment required:
Earth-moving equipment.

Method: "Booster" it into the Sun.

Feasibility: 9/10. If God hates us.

Background knowledge: Technically, you don't have to hit the Sun. Just send it within the Roche limit, and tidal forces will tear us apart - after all, we're 70% water, we'll be swamped before we get roasted. Fail, and we get 8 months of freezing winter (I'm talking about 0 degree K) and 4 of scorching summer (about 1k degrees Celcius). Unless, of course, an asteroid from God sends us into it.

lol, my zuo wen 6, without the formatting.

Emo?!

I've decided that:

1) I don't have the temperament for being emo.
2) Nobody likes me being emo.
3) It's natural for people not to understand me - after all, they are humans.
4) It's natural for people to be better.
5) It's natural to NOT be the best.
6) I'd have to improve a lot to get into CSE.
7) My current score is already not enough to get me in.
8) People would still accept me even if I'm not as smart as them.
9) People would still accept me even if I'm not in CSE.
10) I shall stop acting emo.
11) I shall curb my temper - I don't want to get pissed again.

Sorry to any harm I've caused anyone for this period of time :(

Banishment

The commander stepped into the bunker just as the men were preparing to turn in. Looking at their gaunt faces and their thin bodies lying on the cold green sheets, the first thing he thought was "luckily I'm not so bad off". Not repenting, he coldly held out a piece of paper. "We have received intelligence that there are enemy forces approaching the camp. They will be arriving in about two hours; they have sent a recon troop that will arrive in half an hour. I want all of you to dress up and fall in in five minutes. Go!" Turning, he strode out of the room.

***

Within the bunker, the soldiers whispered among themselves, all but for one. Sitting in the corner was Seigfried; although one of the youngest, he was one of the most respected in his platoon, having taken down an entire opposing platoon by himself. He stared at the stone walls, still dressed in just shorts and a sweatshirt; although he looked like stone, his mind was whirring, anger burning his heart and empty stomach. Before that, the platoon had had no dinner, and now, they expected them to fight without fuel. The murmuring within the room increased, most of which was centered around Seigfried. He coldly faced their challenge, ignoring them to the best of his ability. Although he wanted very much to go out and fight and protect his comrades, his body could not will him to do so; in addition, his resentment against his superiors was paramount to the success - he could not afford to get distracted.

***

Five minutes later, Seigfried watched as his comrades fell in. The commander didn't seem to notice one missing soldier among the platoon; maybe he was savoring the feel of success. Not for the first time that evening, he felt anger; anger at the people who didn't understand war, angered at the people who sent thousands of soldiers to their death. The same people who said it was for the sake of the country, but who sat in boardrooms reading the war progress through the papers and radio broadcasts. The same people that he would now rebel against. A command faintly echoed upwards, hitting his ears jarringly; he watched sadly as they marched out to fight the futile battle. He knew that he would not see them alive again, and yet the dignity in which they marched out to their death shocked him - it held resignation, and yet a degree of pride: not for their nation, but for themselves, for sacrificing themselves to save other innocent lives. Seigfried watched as they marched away from the light of the barrack building towards the gates, and out. Even in the darkness, there was a certain sense of honor about them; perhaps it was from their confident posture. He knew how it felt to be out there, in trenches, not knowing when one will die. How it felt to have your legs tremble while you aimed the guns and grenade launchers.

***

"You don't get it!" Seigfried screamed, striding down the corridor alongside the commander; the latter ignored his interjection, instead countering, "You should have left with them." The soldier continued shouting, "Wouldn't you be happy if I went? You could be drinking coffee while we slog our guts out for you!" The commander stopped in his tracks, and stared coldly. "If you love your comrades so much, go and fight for them, alongside them, then."

***

Seigfrid ran along the mud trail, praying to God he would be on time. Ahead, he heard shouts; familiar shouts. Panting, he ran ahead to try and save them; he was fifty meters there when the missile landed. He could visualize the soldiers inside; looking out the trench, and suddenly feeling scorched, feeling their flesh tearing apart. Screaming, he ran towards the dark trench; he could see its inside - it was akin to the depths of Hell. The worst thing - some of them were not dead yet. Their body was still in convulsions, twisting and turning in the limited space of the dark trench. The survivors were grouped up in a corner, but they were all badly burned; their eyes, however, had a sense of light in them - it was as if the soul still existed, even without the flesh. Seigfried looked at all of them, and tried to apologize, but he couldn't speak anything.

Their eyes, however, spoke worlds; every single pair said, kindly, "Even though you didn't come, you still came back. We.... forgive you."

Pokemon with Weird Japanese Names (I).

Pokedex Number: 149.
Type: Dragon/Flying.
Evolution line: Dratini
Evolves from: Dragonair

Dragonite,カイリュー [Kairyū], is the last in the Dratini evolution line. Unlike its precursors, which are only Dragon type, it has the ability of flying, gained upon evolution at level 55. Also, it is now bipedal, and has a beige underbelly. Within the 1st Generation, it is the fastest flying type; this is very unlike its size, which is far from streamlined; however, it is rumored to be able to circle the world in 16 hours.

Pokedex Number: 155.
Type: Fire
Evolution line: Cyndaquil
Evolves into: Quilava

Cyndaquil, ヒノアラシ [Hinoarashi], is the Fire-type starter in the 2nd Generation; however, it is possible to obtain it after completion of the Hoenn Dex. On its back are four spots of red fur; when provoked, it uses internal energy to produce spines of fire from these spots. Although quadruped, it is capable of traveling on two feet. Normally timid, it releases fire when approached; if the opponent is not deterred, it can release more flames, creating a smokescreen.

Pokedex Number: 156.
Type: Fire
Evolution line: Cyndaquil
Evolves into: Typhlosion

Quilava, マグマラシ [Magumarashi] is the 2nd in the Cyndaquil evolution line. Shaped like long creatures with small forepaws and slightly longer hindpaws, they look similar to weasels. In battle, it turns its back toward its opponents as a sign that it is about to use its flame-based abilities in battle, or to intimidate foes by demonstrating its power. Noted for its speed, Quilava can nimbly evade attacks while scorching their enemies. They can also create gusts of superheated air.

Pokedex Number: 157.
Type: Fire
Evolution line: Cyndaquil
Evolves from: Quilava

Typhlosion, バクフーン [Bakufūn], is the final Pokemon in the Cyndaquil evolution line. Unlike its predecessors, Typhlosion resembles a wolverine; even though its smoke vents drop lower because of this, it still can release a tremendous amount of heat. When its fur is rubbed, Typhlosion is capable of causing gigantic explosions, which is a sign of its aggressiveness. Although it has smaller pupils, resulting in poorer eyesight, it still has a keen sense of smell and hearing, making up for the weakness.

Pokedex Number: 158
Type: Water
Evolution line: Totodile
Evolves into: Croconaw

Totodile, ワニノコ [Waninoko], is the Water-type starter in the 2nd Generation; resembling a small crocodile, it has four red spikes on its back and tail; its jaw and sharp teeth are strong enough to cut down a tree. Energetic, cheerful and rowdy, it often roams swamps, biting any moving object.

Pokedex Number: 159
Type: Water
Evolution line: Totodile
Evolves into: Feraligatr

Croconaw, アリゲイツ [Arigeitsu], is the 2nd in the Totodile evolution line. Maintaining an open mouth while attacking, it always grows its teeth back after attacking, maintaining its 48 fangs. The tips of these 48 fangs are curved inwards; once sunk in, they are impossible to remove.

Pokedex Number: 160
Type: Water
Evolution line: Totodile
Evolves from: Croconaw

Feraligatr, オーダイル [Ōdairu], is the last Pokemon in the Totodile evolution line. Resembling oversized crocodiles, it prefers to roam waterfalls unlike its predecessors. Growing sharp claws at the end of its feet, it uses them to grip before kicking its legs back and charging at the opponent. Preferring only fish-type Pokemon, it eats Magikarp and other fish for food; however, it also consumes large prey like Stantler and Tauros when they come too close.

Oh ho! Friends!

My parents always told me to look up, not around. Instead of trying to keep at your level, aim high, try to beat the next person up.

They were wrong.

In times of crisis, the only people who stayed true to me were the people at my level, those who didn't have the best of results but were great friends, bonded.

I face the same crisis again.

Again, I see the truth.

Again, I realize that only those who have been around me for a long time truly listen.

Again, I realize - they are the only people who comprehend.

---

Today's assembly was fantastic.

We were presented with an argument as such:

"It's simple. I expect all of iSpark to enter CSE next year."

If we don't?

"Those who cannot meet the requirements have three choices. To go to HP CSE, the 'O' level class or another consortium."

Why?

"Because the learning styles are too different. Currently, 3I1 are comprised of HP and normal students. They cannot fit into the program and learning styles."

Bullshit. What he's trying to fucking say is that "iSpark is only for the elites. If you're not an elite, get out."

Fine. You can have your fucking will - I'm out of this bloody school. I mean it.

Macerate

TK was right in implying that "macerate" means destroy.

–verb (used with object)
1. to soften or separate into parts by steeping in a liquid.
2. to soften or decompose (food) by the action of a solvent.
3. to cause to grow thin.
–verb (used without object)
4. to undergo maceration.
5. to become thin or emaciated; waste away.

Nolife.

Current Song: Desert Scream, ESTSoft.
Current Mood: GTFO, I'm having a horrible stomachache.

Let's translate TK's amazingness to simple text.

The school regulations are archaic and mundane.

The school rules are old, lame and extra.

The authority prescribes to ancient advice recommending that students be subject to inflexible regulations. There is this popular impression that a modern, studious pupil pulls their pants above the hipbone and shirts be tucked in to the fullest. Natural afros are disallowed and socks not entirely covering the ankle are considered ugly and promoting misbehaviour.

The principal is old fashioned, believing in so called "unchangeable" beliefs that "guai-kias" have really high pants and shirts that are tucked in all the way. Long and weird hairstyles are disallowed and socks revealing the ankle are considered symbols of being a "pai-kia".

It might be assumed I am biased as I have suffered mistreatment given rise from the above regulations. However, I think this is an objective perspective. Many schools have cast aside abovesaid traditional regulations and allowed students greater freedom in expressing themselves through their image. It is not as if we are pushing for wearing home clothes. I just feel that instead of appearing as good-natured intellectuals, we exude the image of anti-social individuals.

Don't call me biased just because I have suffered punishments from these rules and belifs - I think that this is a neutral stand, since most schools got rid of or changed these stupid beliefs and rules already, giving them a chance to express themselves. I'm not advocating home-clothes, I'm just trying to say that the current rules make us feel left-out amongst others.

These pre-medieval notions need to be macerated. The truth is, we have been labelled by too many members of the public as "nerds" or "muggers", because our wise school authorities insist on leaving us as a sore thumb in today's society.

These rules need to be removed or changed. The truth is, we students have already been labeled "mugger-kias", precisely because our school rules set us aside in modern society.

See, so much more understandable.

var num = 0;
function annoy(){
while (num=num){
num++;
alert ("This is message number: " +num) ;
}
}

var user = prompt( "Password?", "");

The Laws of Life.

1. Law of Mechanical Repair - After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee.

2. Law of Gravity - Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

3. Law of Probability -The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

4. Law of Random Numbers - If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.

5. Law of the Alibi - If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.

6. Variation Law - If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).

7. Law of the Bath - When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.

8. Law of Close Encounters -The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.

9. Law of the Result - When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.

10. Law of Biomechanics - The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

11. Law of the Theater - At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last.

12. The Starbucks Law - As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

13. Murphy's Law of Lockers - If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.

14. Law of Physical Surfaces - The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug.

15. Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

16. Brown's Law of Physical Appearance - If the clothes fit, they're ugly.

17. Oliver's Law of Public Speaking - A closed mouth gathers no feet.

18. Wilson's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy - As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

19. Doctors' Law - If you don't feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you'll feel better. Don't make an appointment and you'll stay sick.

20. Law of Office Technology - The probability of a printer or copier failure is directly proportional to the urgency and importance of the task.

21. Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

22. Law of Window Cleaning - It's on the other side.

23. Law of Anxious Unpacking - The assembly and operation manual will be discarded with the packing material. The garbage truck will have it picked up five minutes before the mad dash to the rubbish can.

24. Law of Measurement - Any wire cut to the exact measured length will be too short.

Javascript 101.

Firstly, apologies for the disturbance I caused last night, I was going slightly off balance.

Okay, today, I'll talk about Javascript and Private servers - how Javascript can be utilized to create simple NPC's and events. Let's start with a simple one - Sera.

var wui = 0;

function start() {
cm.sendOk ("Welcome to the world of MapleStory. The purpose of this training camp is to help beginners. Would you like to enter this training camp? Some people start their journey without taking the training program. But I strongly recommend you take the training program first.");
}

function action(mode, type, selection) {
if (mode == 0 || wui == 1) {
cm.dispose();
cm.gainItem(1002562, 1);
cm.gainItem(01052081, 1);
cm.warp(1, 0);
} else {
wui = 1;
var statup = new java.util.ArrayList();
var p = cm.c.getPlayer();
var totAp = p.getRemainingAp() + p.getStr() + p.getDex() + p.getInt() + p.getLuk();
p.setStr(4);
p.setDex(4);
p.setInt(4);
p.setLuk(4);
p.setRemainingAp (totAp - 16);
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.STR, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.DEX, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.LUK, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.INT, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.AVAILABLEAP, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(p.getRemainingAp())));

p.getClient().getSession().write (net.sf.odinms.tools.MaplePacketCreator.updatePlayerStats(statup));
cm.sendOk ("Ok, the training begin !");
}
}

How's that?

var wui = 0;

var stands for Variable, much like C++'s "int", except its more all-encompassing.

function start() {
cm.sendOk ("Welcome to the world of MapleStory. The purpose of this training camp is to help beginners. Would you like to enter this training camp? Some people start their journey without taking the training program. But I strongly recommend you take the training program first.");
}

Declares the function "start()", which can be called anytime later by just using start();. sendOk is a predefined function (for PS's) that makes a textbox with just the button "OK" and "End chat".

function action(mode, type, selection) {

Declares a new function.

if (mode == 0 || wui == 1) {

Looks pretty impossble, doesn't it? wui has been set to 0! So thus, the whole block below if...

{
cm.dispose();
cm.gainItem(1002562, 1);
cm.gainItem(01052081, 1);
cm.warp(1, 0);
}

is skipped for now. Let's take a look at it. cm.dispose(); is basically a function that cuts the chatbox - the chat is thus "disposed". Then you gain items of itemcode 1002562, as well as 1052081. You are then warped to map 1, portal 0, the default spawnpoint.

Let's look at the next part. With "if", of course, comes "else".
else {
wui = 1;

See? The previous block of code HAS its use! But the "else" takes precedence, all the way till the end of the curly bracket.

var statup = new java.util.ArrayList();

This line declares the variable "statup", along with a new array. For what?

var p = cm.c.getPlayer();
var totAp = p.getRemainingAp() + p.getStr() + p.getDex() + p.getInt() + p.getLuk();

Now we see. The script first gets the stats of the player clicking the NPC, and stores the values in totAP to the new array. Remaining AP + all the four stats are stored in order.

p.setStr(4);
p.setDex(4);
p.setInt(4);
p.setLuk(4);
p.setRemainingAp (totAp - 16);

This is pretty obvious. It resets all 4 main stats to 4, and sets the remaining AP to totAP - 16. Since totAP is remaining+str+dex+int+luk, if you set the 4 to "4", then naturally, what's remaining will be everything BUT for the 16 still currently in there.

statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.STR, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.DEX, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.LUK, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.INT, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(4)));
statup.add (new net.sf.odinms.tools.Pair(net.sf.odinms.client.MapleStat.AVAILABLEAP, java.lang.Integer.valueOf(p.getRemainingAp())));

This function sets your stats cleanly and makes sure that your stats won't freeze up. Pretty crummy if you resetted it and can't pump it back, right?

p.getClient().getSession().write (net.sf.odinms.tools.MaplePacketCreator.updatePlayerStats(statup));
cm.sendOk ("Ok, the training begin !");
}
}

This line terminates the "else" block, and thus, because wui has been set to "1", the warping occurs.

Gah.

Yeah, so you guys are geniuses. For those that are still too blank to find out: , cut the third dash.

Prologue

"Consecrate." The cold voice rang out, throughout the chamber. Bound by invisible mana, the girl whimpered slightly. Kneeling in the center of the round altar, the boy's eyes were shut, kneeling as if in prayer or apology. Only his back could be seen from so far away, and the girl didn't believe her eyes. He didn't even try to turn.

...

Far away, an angel looked on. "Unfathomable. He actually personally went and carried out the task we all rejected." Another one nodded. "Bless their souls."

...

How long must this last? The boy looked on silently at the shadow in front of him. Many had wished to see him, just once... him included. He'd envisioned a bright sky, standing on clouds, looking out at the sea - he never imagined that he'd be kneeling before the deity that would ultimately destroy him. As he thought these, he felt a burning sensation in his body - heart, limbs and soul. From the depth of his heart, he prayed that the girl standing some distance behind him would find solace in the fact that he'd offered his soul for hers - she'd only be dead. There was still the slim chance of re-incarnation in this world.

...

"No!" she screamed, as green bubbles flew up into the air, straight into a small, crystal like object. How ironical that that was how they sealed demons and send them to for judgement - the only person she loved was now being sealed in the exact same way, his soul ripped apart. He didn't make a single sound for the next five minutes, until all the green specks were gone. The amethyst shone for a while, before dissipating. The figure headed towards her.

"Get away!" She shouted at the figure, holding on tightly to the charm at her neck.

"If I ever die, break the seal on this charm."

"Kudakero." The charm shone for a moment before shattering, and mana leaked out into the air, slicing at the mana bonds; leaping away, she summoned a bow and pulled back on the string; thousands of arrows appeared in the air and fell with astonishing speed - the figure could barely dodge, and he seemed to be getting injured slowly. From the bottom leapt arrows of the darkest blue; everything they scraped was turned into solid ice. As the figure fell, his wings shattered. "Bahamut... I... never wanted to do this!" Her voice rang out as loudly as his.

"I forgive you. I sensed this was coming... you need to cheer up. I'm not supposed to tell you this, or I will be destroyed... but my death is already arriving. You will be reunited, and you'll be more powerful than ever. This, I promise. You won't leave this chamber alive, but neither will I. I hope we have the fate to meet again. Go well."

Nodding, she walked over to the boy; he was expressionless and his eyes were shut. "I hope we'll really meet again." Kneeling down, she looked down at him and her sight blurred. "Hiraga..." Before she could finish, she was dead; her soul rested in a small capsule. From above, a dozen angels, all former Bishops, knelt down and chanted their spell. Unknown to them, a figure was watching; a figure clothed in black, light armor, a figure known as the fastest in all of Victoria.

I'm still considered below ave, so please R&R. Constructive criticism pls.

Spammage ftw!

Here's how the letter goes.

Dear Xiuping,

Although I'm grateful that Claire has graciously and readily agreed to the exchange, I'm quite horrified by the state the classroom was in. It seemed like no one did duty for ages - there was a lunch pack with rotten chicken bones, stickers here and there on the ground, no broom, etc. The lights were spoilt, the CPU was gone, the doors cannot be locked, etc. My class did their duty before they handed it over to 2O, i sincerely hope that if there is change-back, you will do the reasonable thing in giving us back a clean classroom.

Please note that i've taken the brooms and pails from my former classroom because we want to maintain being the cleanest class in Apehlion. In addition, while we were mopping the class, we saw Paul replacing the CPU @ about 4 pm.

Regards,
Bee Yen

P.S. In order to clear up the incredible mess, my students skipped lunch and i had to help them apologised to MOE staff because they were 10 minutes late for the MOE survey.

This letter is intact, with all the spelling and grammatical mistakes.

Let's start from line 1. "Although I'm grateful that Claire has graciously and readily agreed to the exchange..." Note that they didn't talk about 2O in this line. Didn't we give up our classroom? Ms. Choh can make her decisions, but we have the right to argue back as well; we didn't move graciously and willingly, but we did so all the same - given that we have to climb so high every day, and all for 1 person who broke his leg, I think it should be granted that we should get credits. I remember the 1st day I met TK - his leg was in a cast, he had crutches, and yet he still made the 7 floors to the classroom. Then, he was still 10.

Next. "...I'm quite horrified by the state the classroom was in. It seemed like no one did duty for ages..." I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but our class HAS been doing duty. Ask Dr. Hon, ask Mr. Sung, ask Mr. J. Lim. And the people DID do duty before you entered. Let's now see the detailed description of the "rubbish".

"...lunch pack with rotten chicken bones, stickers here and there on the ground, no broom, etc. The lights were spoilt, the CPU was gone, the doors cannot be locked...."

Lunch pack with rotten chicken bones - where did you find the lunch pack? How did you know it wasn't YOUR class? Stickers here and there... those were from math, and I'm VERY VERY sure that there were none on the ground. The broom, another iSpark class borrowed - for God's sake, the Facilities Secretary BOUGHT IT with his OWN MONEY. -_- The CPU - you yourself said that the CPU had been taken by Mr Paul Goh for repairing - for your information, YOUR class computer isn't of a higher quality either. All the wires were plugged out, lying on the ground; some pins in the VGA cable were bent. And your visualizer has to be tied with a rubber band as well, so don't comment about OUR classroom. As for the lights, they have already been reported, and with the sunlight streaming in to the 1st floor classroom, I'm sure you'll be able to see fine. It's the leg's that's injured, not eyes. The doors - the Estate was the one who broke it, take the matter up with THEM.

"My class did their duty before they handed it over to 2O, i sincerely hope that if there is change-back, you will do the reasonable thing in giving us back a clean classroom."

Our class did OUR duty before we handed it to you. I hope that if there is a change-back, YOUR class will do the reasonable thing in giving US back a clean classroom. I expect the wall above the dustbin to be clean, if not as clean as before we left. We have photographic evidence.

"Please note that i've taken the brooms and pails from my former classroom because we want to maintain being the cleanest class in Aphelion."

I have NOTHING to say about this, because if 2C is the cleanest class in Aphelion... it reflects on your consortium. Here's a memorable quote from a forum admin that I know. "Do NOT flame other forumites, no matter where they're from. BasilMarket and Sleepywood are known for their infamy, but remember - whatever you say will be reflected on the others, and if you flame them, it reflects badly to me, to us, your home forum." This veiled sarcasm doesn't come off well on Aphelion's image. Plus, if 2C is the cleanest class in Aphelion, I wonder how the state of the other classes are.

"In addition, while we were mopping the class, we saw Paul replacing the CPU @ about 4 pm." HAHAHA! Then WHY on earth did you mention our computer being spoilt? Perhaps it is to be sarcastic about our classroom's state? In that case, it utterly fails, and comes off as a self-contradiction on your part. "P.S. In order to clear up the incredible mess, my students skipped lunch and i had to help them apologised to MOE staff because they were 10 minutes late for the MOE survey." Incredible mess, huh? Papers lying in the cabinet, strewed all over the ground; layers of dirt under the computer table, along with worksheets that might have been from January. YOU were late for the MOE survey; so were WE. Add that on to the fact that we had to wait for your lessons to finish before moving.

BTW, CC'ing the Aphelion Director and ADC, as well as iSpark's, doesn't show well. It's as if you want to show the whole world your "difficult" position. 家丑不可外扬, you're the one who said you want to keep it between 2O and 2C. To do this... totally undermines the situation.

That's all I can say for now, besides the fact that you should look in the mirror before commenting and mass cc'ing.

Let's continue the lit-review.

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

The word used to describe the action, "beg", seems to be a weird term to use in such a case - although it holds a certain sense of independence and rebellion, it also conveys a sense of having the "beg" - showing that ultimately, they are still at the power of the "liars". "Hollow lies" in this case refers to the so called "quick success" in the Middle East - the Cabinet has thus far underestimated the amount of total deaths in war zones, and the word "hollow" is the opposite of "solid", which the Bush administration used to describe their crusade - a solid wall of charging soldiers. Thus, we can see the irony.

"Dawning" of the rest of their lives is very straightforward - it refers to the light shining on the truth at last. The next line - "on holiday" is an irony from the general theme of the song - war, pain and suffering.

Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protester has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side

This senza is meant to convey a sense of solidarity and order about the way the war was carried out - a drum is used in bands and playing instruments much as a way a metronome is - playing out a beat to guide the speed of the other band players. This orderliness is unlike of war - a good war is to be fought flexibly, not done out beat by beat and travel in pre-specified paths. "Money" in this case is supposed to be a euphemism of "privileges" - taken at face value, it can be seen as a straightforward statement; however, when you "cross a line" and find something on "the other side", it may appear to be a weird contradiction - there are only two sides of a line. Therefore, we can infer that the writers meant to imply that the people of America should watch out and remember the things that are at state before openly arguing with the ruling Cabinet of the country.

Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument

"Amen" is a common ending of a prayer (correct me if I'm wrong) when the person asks for one to bless him, it often implies that they have tried many times to pray to the Gods, but they are not replying - this is also an implication of the feeling of being deserted by all, the desperation that they view in lieu of the thousands of soldiers dying. "Flag wrapped around a score of men" further adds on to the idea of the suffocation of the people by the state flag, often used in politics to represent the leaders of the nation. In ancient Rome, defiling of monuments was punishable by beheading, which was adopted by many countries later on. Also, a monument is a historical monument - by gagging it and binding it in plastic bag, it is trying to imply a silencing and prevention of movement of history and protests; it is also trying to imply a ignorance and rejection of the history of America - namely, its recourse of using non-violence to solve matters.

*skipping forwards...*
"The representative from California has the floor"

Sieg Heil to the president Gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!

One big quote. "The representative from California has the floor"; at time of writing, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a person campaigning for election; this may not seem much, but it is revealed that he used to have a high degree of respect of Adolf Hitler, which may have been a precursor to the next line. "Gasman" refers to Hitler, which gassed millions of Jews in the Holocaust, one of the worst war crimes in history. The following line described how Hitler was defeated towards the end of World War II - the bombing of Berlin, followed by Operation Overlord.

The next two lines make an allusion to the condemnation of the 2003 Iraq invasion by the French. This line is a juxtapose to their comments on this song, which says they are "anti-war". Again, this impression is furthered by the next two lines, which uses strong words and vivid (almost) description of war-happenings to give a sense of revenge. However, the last line seems to show that the previous four lines was an irony. By calling themselves outlaws, they are trying to say that their opinions are different from the normal opinions; this is assuming that the previous four lines reflect the opinions of the government as well as the nationalist people.

*fin?*

Gah that was hard. Quality dropped slightly.
